It is official that North America Set.2 release will not make the 3/27 original global release date. This appears to be only in the North America and therefore, Japan and Europe will not be affected by this.
Very sad news, but we should appreciate the Mark (SCEA Marketing Manager) taking time to inform us this ahead of time.
The alternative date has not been stated in the article. Let’s hope the wait will not be too long.
BTW, it’s soooooo nice to see official Sony Marketing Manager mentioning “I Love Judgment” name.

Many days ago, some major U.S. web sites had April 17th as the release dates. Who knows, maybe they got the bad news ahead of us.
@Real Gambler
You’ve gotta be kidding…. April 17th?? That’s just too long. No wonder why you were upset. It’s hard for me to understand why it’s only US. I can see everywhere but Japan (due to translation issue), but if they can release in EU, basically the same card should be able to release in the US.
Unless the cards are selling soo well, that the sales went over the Sony’s expectation.
That bites hard.
That would not be Sony’s fault but more WotC. They are the one printing cards, and as you said, they were already translated in english, so it was really just printing, shipping and distribution, something WotC should be good at.
And somehow, there’s nothing else currently on WotC board really competing for the press… No new major franchise, no big expansion for any for the other workhorses, nothing. Just life as usual.
Who knows, if you remember, before the game came out, they were talking about special ink that would prevent cards to be copied. They totally missed the boat on set 1, but maybe they are finally using this ultra-special ink for set 2 and it’s only coming out of a plant that is growing on top of the Everest once in a blue moon. : )
It’s a damn conspiracy. WOTC is afraid of the success of EOJ so they’re sabotaging it to keep it from becoming as popular as their precious Magic. F those guys. Sony doesn’t need their help.
@Real Gambler
I sure hope that they are doing something special like copy protection but.. if that’s the case, it should affect worldwide rather than NA alone, shouldn’t it? I really hope the delay is not too long. I can wait a day or two at most.
@Overdrive
Although it’s Sony’s product, since WOTC name is also on the package, so I believe they are making some money off this game as well. Especially, with the latest version of Magic emphasizing on Combo concept. and Set.2 of EOJ’s main theme being Combo., I feel like WOTC has a lot of influence or input to EOJ. So I see EOJ as potential money maker for WOTC in addition to Magic rather than competition. But who knows, you may be right.
Man WOTC is jacking the US, if they only have a limited amount then let it out what ever they got on the 3/28 and keep printing to meet ordering needs because knowing that the US is going to get cards weeks after the rest of the country isn’t fair. If they want it to be fair then why not just delay it everywhere else cuz its going to suck knowing the advantage the rest of the country is going to have when they get 2 weeks worth of playing with the game before the USA gets it. Come on how fair is that because they never do that for any of the Magic releases……BE FAIR TO THE USA release it on 3/28
