3 + 2 More Cards ~Set.2 Official Movie Clip~

Summary: In this entry, I have linked a Gamespot official video clip for the Set.2.  From which I took a few screen captures to show additional new cards.

Battle Master (UR)

Comment: Even biolith creatures get some combo!!

Visvar Vaas Zealot (UC)

You steal the exit mana of enemy Wood creatures.
During your Resolution Phase, your opponent loses mana equal to the number of allied Water Missionary creatures.

Subtract 2 from the Summoning Cost of allied Water Missionary creatures (minimum 1)

Comment: When I first saw the Fire Missionary creature, I thought it would be simply allied country relationship based cards, but it looks like these missionary cards are more like Ninja equivalent in the Set.2. At this point, as most of you can guess there should be 4th Missionary creature with Wood element.

Goblin Basher

Attack Pattern, front and sides.  (3 directions)

Comment: Another Green Bandits.

Binding Shadows

Comment: It’s difficult to read, but to me it looks like the card says “The opponent must discard a card.”

Ninja Fate Enhancer

Comment: This one I cannot decipher the attributes at all, but definitly can read the card name and see the picture (looks like Spider Ninja). Based on these I would guess Ninja will get some treat in the Set.2.

Am I right in thinking that the Battle Master will attack in several directions in one turn doing a potential six damage to each target? Doing up to 18 damage or am looking at the card wrong?

Battle Master can attack in ANY direction, but you choose one, kinda like Biolith Bomber, and yes you do 6 damage.

No,Battle Master has Biolith Bomber’s attack range (full long range strike).

    @ Spazzfish
Nah, just one target (same attack pattern as Biolith Bomber).

    Biolith Master owns x_X;;

    Hey guys,

Thanks for replying back to Spazzfish question.

This blog is set so that I have to approve all new comments from new email address before they become visible to general public. Unforunately, I don’t know how to turn this option off, but in the future three of you should be able to comment without approval as long as you use the same email address.

Ah great. Because I thought he might attack in the same way Don of Venoa does and that would have made him a bit too strong:)

Battle Master is a really great card. Six damage for six mana is strong and then add on top of that the ability to draw what is guaranteed to be a highly useful additional card AND neuter potentially four tiles no matter where you play him is a lot of board impact for one single dude.

Binding Shadows could be good in certain decks, but this is going to be a bad card the vast majority of the time. -1 mana and -1 card for you while only getting -1 card from your opponent is typically not a good deal. It’s only worth it if you’re trying to hit critical mass and empty your opponent’s hand ASAP. There needs to be more discard on demand to make this feasible.

From what I see he will attack all around him doing a massive 24 damage but will also hit allies taking Don to second place in traitors.

Or do I see this wrong.
But it really seems like there’s 3 red dots indicating he attacks in three direction and I’m guessing he has a fourth on in the back.

I’m not so sure about Binding Shadows. In the Set.1, the most similar card would be leap frog bandit, which gives us a creature + discard for 1 mana; however, the discard is not on-demand plus the 1 mana creature is very susceptible to be destroyed. So although I don’t use discard deck, if I were to do so, I’d rather prefer using one extra mana and have discard instantaneously on the turn I want PLUS a creature that I really want to cast even that costs more mana. To me this is exactly the thing I was talking about in the Wishlist #2. Separating a creature’s ability from a creature will allow us to make more flexibile deck.

The pink and red lines are indication of selection if I remember, right. This means you get to choose one of the four direction but not all at once like others are saying above.

What I see are three yellow/orangish dots which should indicate attacking in three directions but it seems like I’m the only one that can see them :/

The only pink I see is the arrows.

Edit: Yes now noticed that the two arrows on the side are pink which gives him the same attack range as Biolith bomber, devastating card.
