Sample Deck ~ Dwarf Deck ~

旗持ちドワーフSummary: Yet another sample deck from EOJ Connection. Set.2 will not only allow uni-elemental/uni-color deck, but this example illustrates a new type of deck, called Race deck.

A fan deck is a type of deck which focuses on creature’s race or affiliation. With Set.1 cards alone, due to the limited number of creature cards, other than Ninja deck there was no other fan deck. In this blog entry, I have translated the first official example of fan deck using Set.2 cards, specifically a Race deck with Dwarves.

The theme of Dwarf deck is “defense is the best offense.”

Sample Dwarf Deck (from EOJ Connection)

Card Name #
1. Flame Magus 3
39. Stone Wing Dwarf 3
41. Giant Axe Dwarf 3
57. Bewitching Elf Archeress 2
130. Venoan Spy 2
146. Dwarf Sniper 3
151. Dwarf Battlebuggy 2
152. Dwarf Warbanner 2
153. Dwarf Battle Forge 2
156. Archbisshop Jirva 1
158. Marshal Akhum 1
91. Parmetic Holy Feast 1
92. Goghlie Altar 1
97. Healing Shower 1
98. Fissure of Goghlie 2
192. Granvenoa Altar 1

According to Asahara, there are two key cards in this deck.

Dwarf Warbanner

This card will give protection equal to the number of dwarf creatures to all dwarf creatures, including itself. So if you cast him for the check (assuming other 3 creatures are also dwarf), essentially all 4 dwarves have 4 protection. With 4 protection, your opponent option becomes severely limited.

However, you must remember that this creature will also have negative effect on your allied creatures. Your other allied dwarves will subtract attack equal to the protection. So you must be careful not to use this creature too early in the game; otherwise, you may end up not being able to kill any of opponent’s creature.

Dwarf Battle Forge

In contrast to Warbanner, this is key card when you want to make your deck into offense focused mode.

This creature add +1 to attack of all allied dwarf creatures. In addition this creature can be used to increase number Earth fields on the board.

This deck demonstrated the idea of Race deck, which I am sure many of players were nnxiously waiting for.

I like this deck. I really do, it could use a little personalizing but it seemd VERY solid. I’ll be moding this for my first Set 2 Deck.
