Triple Attack Mandragora ~ Finally, Wood users get some love ~

Summary: New concept called Joint Attack is here.  This may be the savior of Wood creature focused decks.

Race – Betrayer
Affiliation – Church of Parmus

*3 Per Deck Limit

4/2/4/2

– Magic attack two creatures in front.
– Joint Attack: When other allied Triple Attack Mandragora’s target include at least one of this Triple Attack Mandragora’s target, the other allied Triple Attack Mandragora will initiate its attack if not already been activated.
– When there are more enemy creatures on the board than allied creatures, all other allied creatures gain +1 attack power and +1 activation cost.

(A) N1&N2 (C) None (B) S

Comment: I’ve never been a big fan of wood creatures, but this creature seems very interesting.  The biggest issue with this card is to collect 3 same ultrarares.  Another money drainer card.

“Downside” is that only 1 target creature will be attacked twice when 2 mandragoras attack at the same time. But for a total of attacking 3 creatures and 4 times this is incredible……might boost magic protections usefulness.

Strange new concept of having to get 3x the same UR…..don’t like it moneywise -.-

I also wonder if the last ability (+1 att, +1 act) would work on other mandragoras, cuase that could mean that when u summon a second mandragora sharing a target with ur first already onboard mandragora,, u will attack 3 targets with 4 attacks and a total damage of 12 for just 4 mana.

Of course it’s situational, but we’ve got looooots of cards in EOJ that are much more situational.
My guess is it only works on non-mandragoras, but other cards have always specifically said so (Elven Soul Hunter e.g.).

Also i wanna thank u for ur work houshasen, I’ve been lurking here in high anticipation as soon as sets are announced since set2, and I really love ur blog and what u do.

I don’t know why ppl say wood decks are bad. One of my better decks (maybe the best) is Elf-based, with Lusirion (set 2 wood phantom).

With Lusirion on the board its almost a sure win =)

    Thanx Hous !!

Great work so far .. we all appreciate the translations, since your the only one who’s doing them for us.

Set 3 is gonna be the best yet. Also, I agree this card is going to be a serious money drainer. Im sure a deck will come out needing 3 of these, so figure like $15-$20ea plus everything else. Hope I get at least 2 in my 7 boxes when I order 🙂
