Saint Holy’s Anthem ~ Spice up Juno ~

Summary: Healing Shower is not the only way to cure your creatures.  Here is the Anthem.

Type – Conjuration
Cost – 2

– Select an allied creature. All allied creatures adjacent to the selected creature will gain +2 health.

Comment: What’s special about this spell is that there is Element restriction like healing shower, which means you can use this on non-elemental creatures. That’s right even on the Eye of Juno!!

Not sure about >Healing Shower though…

First, Healing Shower gives 3HP… This one is gives 2HP. Sure, HS is good for same element, but if you hit only two creatures with it, it’s a total of 6hp bonus. With SHA, your best bet is 3 adjacent creatures for 2HP each, which won’t happen that often.

Two, I’m still expecting more cards that will help us make mainly mono-element decks. With set 2, we were close, so only one or two more cards could bring mainly mono-element decks finally…

Still, I kind of love this card for two things though. Nice move just before you lay down your 4th card, and kind of anti attrition too. (Against those who like to just weaken your creatures and let SVC to it’s job…).

Another completely terrible card. It might have been useful if it actually healed the selected creature. This is ridiculously hard to use effectively as printed.

Again, the skilled player will be able to use this with devastating effect…
Think berserkers, think perfect dodgers… the fact that this will heal a (minimum) of 2 monsters across any or no element is a real threat…
Playing this late on will almost guarantee victory…
    🙂
(Not so terrible after all eh?)
