Parmus Griffen Knight

Summary: Another card with “outnumber” ability.

Race – Human

Affiliation – Church of Parmus

6/4/6/2+

– Magic Attack against enemies two fields in front.
– Attack equals 2 plus the number of Church of Parmus creatures in the owner’s graveyard.
– When allied creatures outnumber the enemy creatures, instead of damaging creatures, destroy opponent’s mana equal to the attack power of this creature.
– When enemy creature is destroyed, the owner of this creature may select a non-Ultrarare Church of Parmus creature from graveyard and add back to the player’s hand.

(A) N1&N2 (C) None (B) S

Summary:  Just another way to control opponent’s mana.  This new attack pattern is also interesting.  Unlike lance type of attack, which can potentially damage your own creatures, this attack specifically states “ENEMY”.  6 mana for summoning cost seems a bit steep though.

Awesome card in many ways. A staple in my CoP deck.

  2. WOW ^^ i dont think 6 mana is too much for this, just imagine how much damage this thing can do in Parmus Deck, especially in late game

Well, if you’re outnumbering your opponent, he just has to spend all his mana every turns, and this creature doesn’t have any attack and become an expensive place holder.

I guess we will have to see what it can do in a CoP deck, but it does sound just a little bit too expensive to me.

  4. A “must have” card. Imagine this as the fourth card you lay down to set your opponent check. He is check and has no mana left to free himself.

Hmm – but then imagine your opponent gets their standard 2 mana at the beginning of their turn, uses goghlie altar and summons a dragon…

Or they only need four mana for a darksword samurai which would be devastating towards an end game…

I’m sure this card will be used in a lot of CoP decks though, it’ll be interesting to see how successful it becomes 🙂

I agree with Real Gambler. Too expensive for what it does. And the fact the mana ability only happens with the outnumber condition makes this a classic “win more” card. If you can use this card effectively, you probably would have won anyway.

Again, a really useful card during the end game, I wouldn’t worry too much about the mana stealing ability, the CoP bonuses (at least an attack of 3, as everyone usually has a flame magus / alujah priestess in their graveyard) and if played right, attack of 2 x 3 (min.) make this a real good card to play… ;O)
