Fire Witch’s Familiar

Summary: Anti-biolith with Fire.

Comment: Clearly the big concept in the Set.3 is restoring the game balance by adding many metagame cards.  This is one clear example of such.  As biolith deck has been dominating deck type in Set.2 era after the correction of Missionary, adding many anti-biolith cards as Sony did in Set.3 makes perfect sense.  For Fire deck users, this may be must have card until Biolith deck users decline.

Yeah, this is actually a good metagame card, because it’s on the threshold of being good without even playing against biolith creatures. The 1 activation cost is what makes this work because 1 magic damage for 1 mana is useful against ANY deck.
