Share your replay

Summary: Just in the previous article, I have mentioned that one of the “most wanted” feature in the EOJ by Japanese people are the way to share your replay.  It seems like they have solved their own issue.  Here is how you can do it.

STEP1: Save Replay

STEP2: Copy the Replay to USB drive

STEP3: Place onto your PC and save as Zip format

STEP4: Share the Zip file (via EMail, via Web etc.)

STEP5: Unzip the file

STEP6: Copy the file into your USB

STEP7: Plug the USB into your PS3 and copy the file back.

STEP8: Simply play the file back on your PS3.

As EOJ is tactical game, being able to watch people’s in-game play is definitely plus.  In particular, the method mentioned in the above can be used to keep your glorious record backed up in the computer.  Since recently Sony has announced that they have opened Playstation 3 dedicated Youtube channel, I really hope they make this more intuitive method i.e. simple click and upload to Youtube.  In any case, for those of you who are lucky enough to get your Set.3 cards, feel free to upload zip file of your game play and share with us. 🙂

EoJManager has been doing this for about 6 months now, also you can send your replay via EoJ itself now. When online go to send replay, select the replay you want (any replay saved after the 3.0 update it will tell you the players) choose who to send to & then send 🙂
To recieve the replay you have to go online and click on recieve, it will the start to download allowing you to chose a save spot. Easy 🙂

Doing it the way the Japanese do it & EoJM means the replay is region locked, so the Japanese replay cannot be viewed on an EU disc, the EU replay cannot be viewed on a US disc etc.

    Wow! I’m 6 months behind…

I knew about sending replay within EOJ, but that has limit to who to send to, correct? So this was more for Public, anyone can see purpose, but looking at your link, it is indeed what they are talking about.

I didn’t even know there was a region lock. I wonder if there is a way that we can unlock the region lock OR alternatively convert to Youtube compatible file so that we all can watch through stream on PC or PS3.

Do you know anyway to do this Slarth?

We’ve no idea how to get by the region lock, but sending the replays via EoJ bypasses the lock. I’ve tried it myself sending to a US user (me being an EU region user) and they viewed it no problems, so the only way I can see to bypass the lock is to send it to someone who has the region disc you want the replay to be and get them to put it up for you.
