Summary: It was a no brainer for choosing which Fire Hero to put in your deck if our intention was to make a competitive deck. Will this still hold true with EOJ Legend?
As we know that the Didi has lost his health point by 1. Certainly, it alone won’t change any of our opinion about choosing the Didi over the Freedonia. But Sony seemed to know about this. So they’ve decided to change Freedonia as well.

– Fire Witch Freedonia’s Magic attack targets all enemies of the same element as the target.
– When Freedonia attacks a Biolith creature, add your current mana to her attack.
– While Fire Witch Freedonia is on a field, within 2 field in front and side allied creatures have Return.

Comment:
Reduction of attack cost by 1 is alright, but the extended range of Return ability makes this card’s unique ability appear more attractive/useful.
Unlike Didi, this creature still works based on the other cards you have in your deck. So it is hard to say what exactly will happen, but I feel like I can use this card better than before.
Makes me think 4 sure 😉
Didi is still far and away better than Freedonia. If anything, Sony should have also removed the restriction that she needs to be on a fire field to give return to allied creatures in range.
@Apophis
There is NO restriction that Freedonia needs to be on FIre filed to have the Return ability.
There was a typo on the original Freedonia “While Fire Witch Freedonia is on a field” as her return ability only worked if she was on a fire field, so I’m assuming that typo hasn’t been fixed as it could have appeared in the original Japanese text for Freedonia as well and was never noticed maybe? It would be nice if it was changed, but knowing about that typo I’m not so sure it was.
Fire witch, lusirion and scion triumphant needed to be given a little help. They are the only weak phantoms. The problem with lusirion and the witch is the same. They are best used in decks that are not competitive (lusirion only good in elf deck, witch is best against biolith deck, biolith decks are rarely played) and are of little use. Now that vengeress has been tweaked down the uprated witch may be of some use.
@apophis… Fire Witch’s return works from any field, not just when she is on a fire field. I have a couple decks with the witch and I have used her return ability while she is on a non-fire field.
