Freedonian Wanderer

Summary: Perhaps, this may be my most favorite update so far.

Old Stat

New Stat

Affiliation – None

2/1/2/1

– While Freednonian Wanderer is on a non-Fire field, you gain 1 mana each time you summon an allied creature.

– The creatures adjacent to the Freedonian Wanderer cannot dodge.

Comment:

As I mentioned before, I have been a huge fan of uni-elemental deck.  One of my favorite uni-elemental deck was actually a Fire deck.  One of the biggest issue with this deck was going against Dodge creatures.

Freedonian Wanderer was a good card to summon early in the game to get some mana boost until I get summon reduction ability possessing creatures on the board.  But now with this new ability, I feel like I have two reasons to have him in my deck.

So now he can be played on a fire and stay around… Versatile 😉

This is exactly what the game needs. I hope other ‘weak’ cards are given more versatility like this.

I hate to say this… but maybe now is the time to sell off my ps3 eoj collection and use the money to subsidize the purchase of the psp updated version with all these changes in it.

After seeing these translations and tweaks it makes me not even want to play the ps3 version anymore. I’d rather just wait on this. Plus it’s not looking like the ps3 version will get all these changes now anyway… this would be a lot of errata/cards to reprint…. I just don’t know.

He still doesnt seem a durable. Wont he just get 1 shotted as soon as he comes out just like before? If anything that makes him more of a target.

Yeh, he’ll still get one shotted but now there is a point to playing him on a fire field. i suppose useful for true fire elemental decks but nothing more than that.

yeah its nice to see additions being made to weaker cards.
I love all the patch versions Ive read so far.

though I dont like dodge getting hammered once again.
    why not protection?
there are not many abilities around to counter protection.
