【HEX】Mac Client “Can’t Open” Fix

Even with the latest update, it continues to have an issue with Mac Client.  I always have to run change file permission whenever there is update on HEX client, or OS update.  So just in case, anyone else visiting this blog having issue, here is a fix.

Basically, you need to open Application, Utility, Terminal on your Mac, and run following codes.

sudo chmod 755 /Applications/Hex.app/Contents/MacOS/Hex
sudo chmod 755 /Applications/Hex.app/Contents/MacOS/HexPatcher

What above code does are change the permission on the files, which are the cause of “can’t open” file issue after updates.

I hope Cryptozoic will fix this… but it has been a while and well known issue so maybe there won’t be any short fix.
