As of today, HEX announced that there will no longer be a beta key requirement to create an account i.e. anyone can sign up.
The next big patch is scheduled to be on its way on 9/30. This is the biggest patch since the addition of Auction house with overhaul of the visual change, but one of the main feature is free trading functionality!

Something like this apparently takes a while (years) to arrive to their conclusion, but there is a little update.
During the community members driven Child’s play 48 hours twitch event, Cory Jones made his appearance and responded to several questions some of which are very interesting information that were not known previously (at least officially). Thanks to the community forum member, Vorsa, who had made a summary of the talk for those who don’t have time to watch the actual twitch video.
The latest patch will add scheduled big tournament with big prizes. So what’s the entry fee? What’s the prizes?
Now it did not take too long, but HEX already has third party site that sells individual cards, of course digital as the game itself is digital only.
One of the site is apparently giving away 500 free beta keys for HEX. Currently the game is in the closed beta, so only way to get in is to grab one of these beta keys that are floating around,
