About

Hello all EOJ fan fellows,

Surprisingly, there seem to be not enough people translating new and recent Japanese Eye of Judgment information.

How do I know? Well many famous EOJ site used my crappy English translation from message forum..
I currently write blog in Japanese about EOJ, which is mainly focusing on my imagination of what’s cool to be added in EOJ. Although I would like to share my imagination and waste all of your time in English as well, I thought it would only be fair if I can give you all something in return. So I have decided to translate and share new EOJ info from various Japanese site in this blog.

This was not possible before Feburary because there simply was not enough information to share or translate; however, now that Set 2 release is roughly a month away, Sony Japan has officially started a website called “EOJ Tsuushin”(EOJ Connection), which was launched on 1/31 and ever since it has been updated roughly 2-3 times a week. So it alone gives me a good enough source to translate. Obviously, I will not be translating every single sentence or even article, but rather will pick up something that I think interesting or believe worth it to shared. Having said this, I know some of you might have a specific thing that you want to know or even have questions regarding to what I write. In such case, feel free to comment on the blog. I’d be happy to answer the question in any way I can.

Now enough of introduction.

    Houshasen,

I stumbled upon your statistical analysis of drawing a target card by the Nth and am extremely interested in the equation you gave. I reviewed the math and I guess it’s just been so long since I took a Statistical Math course, that it’s not registering for whatever reason. If you could contact me, I’d love to discuss how your equation was determined.

I can across your website and can’t find a contact address so I’m writing here. You should check out Orbs CCG (http://orbsccg.com/), I think you would like it.

Great site – I love to hear about new dTCG games. Have you seen Faeria that has just started on kickstarter? The Beta has been going for a while. A great mix of TCG and board strategy!

I have heard of the game but my understanding is the game is desktop only and I have to purchase it in order to play. So for now, I will not be covering the game anytime soon.

It’s a brilliant TCG and the only thing it’s lacking are players. You might get your wish of F2P and mobile versions before too long.

  9. Hey Houshasen,

I am a part of a small development team that just released a MMO RPG/CCG genre mobile game, which is free to play. I would love for you to try it out, and tell us what you think! The game is called Empire of Chaos, and it is available for both iOS and Android. We are constantly working to add new content, fix bugs, and generally refine our whole game. We have very ambitious plans to incorporate PvP and other cool features in the near future.

I would truly appreciate you taking some time to play our game and give us some feedback.

Let me know if you need anything!

    Thanks 🙂

    Best,
    Isaac from Crystal Cove

  10. Hi Houshasen,

Like Isaac, I’m part of a small indie studio making a dTCG called Spirit Siege! Our gameplay is really unique – probably the closest thing we’ve seen is Fearia. If you’ve played the board game Go, it’s like that, but as a dTCG!

    Here’s a gameplay video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w1CgPs3eZXo

And here’s our kickstarter page: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1796662059/spirit-siege-your-five-minute-strategy-game-fix?ref=nav_search

I’d love to hook you up with a pre-alpha build and get your thoughts on it!

    Dear Houshasen,

I also love dTCGs. You seem to be a real expert of this rapidly emerging genre. I would like to suggest to you the writing of a comparative post about the possibilities of cooperative game modes in different games.
Which game has 2v2 already? Which is planned to have it in the near future? Which has other possible co-op mode like raids, …

I think there are a lot of people out there looking for 2v2 modes in dTCG (but it’s hard to find a good one). You would do them a big favor with such a post.

    Thank you,
    MegaMatze
